Nika I solar power plant

This project represents a key step in the modernization of the company’s energy system, implemented according to the “design and build” principle. The specificity of the design is reflected in the dual approach to assembly: the greater part of the power plant is installed on a sloping roof made of panels, while a solution with a special substructure with weights is used on the flat roof. With this engineering approach, the factory’s available space was maximally utilized for the production of green energy. For the implementation, components from renowned world manufacturers – Hager, Hanersun and Solis – were used, which ensured the longevity and reliability of the system. The power plant, whose output AC power is 120 kW, was put into trial operation in the third quarter of 2025, thus successfully ending the design phase that began at the end of the previous year. The implemented system does not only include production, but also advanced management. A system for smart monitoring of electricity production and consumption has been installed, which is directly connected to the factory’s SCADA system. With this, the strategic goal of reducing operating costs and CO2 emissions has been achieved, with which Mljekara Nika and Futura Technology set an example of sustainable business in Montenegro.
